Carnets
An ATA Carnet, often referred to as the “Passport for Goods”, is an international customs document, allowing you to take non-perishable items in and out of the countries listed on the Carnet scheme temporarily without the need to pay any import duties and taxes.
A Carnet is valid for up to one year and allows for movement of the goods listed under the Carnet as many times as required during the 12 months to any of the destinations applied for. Ideal for exhibitors at trade shows or demonstrations, contractors, film crews, fashion galas, horses and vehicles for racing, equipment testing and much more.
Simplifying customs formalities with the use of one single document to clear goods through customs in the visiting countries; a Carnet eliminates the need to go through each country’s customs procedures for temporary admission of goods i.e. paying customs duties and taxes or lodging a temporary import bond.
